time to knit more socks

My daughter-in-law found a great bargain on sock yarn...trouble was, for her, she didn't want such fine yarn..she knew I'd be happy to adopt it and I am enjoying!  Thus far, I have created 1 pr for her, and am on a third pair for my husband.  I find socks the best knitting project for take-along knitting.

More  hay being mowed today!  The bales are slowly piling up and we're so hoping there will be a decent supply come time to feed the cows!  Last year was a major disappointment.

below are the socks--knit in top-to-start-of toe, for added stay-up-ability!  hope he enjoys them!

hay is being baled!

after last year's disappointing hay harvest, it appears that this year we may actually get some put up for the cows to eat, come winter!  too soon to get overly excited but we are optimistic.

It is downright exciting to see my sons using the antique tractors they have worked on for so long and so hard, to bale hay!  And they're enjoying fully!
